4.0 out of 5 stars Cushion foundation, decent coverage
I chose this foundation for my GFt o try out and this is her review:This was my first time using a cushion foundation. Though the shade is slightly darker than my usual shade, it managed to provide a surprisingly attractive finish. Here are my thoughts after a few weeks of using it.A little goes a long way with this product. Just a small dab is enough to achieve decent coverage, which is a fantastic feature for those of us who hate the feeling of heavy makeup. The cushion format makes application straightforward and allows for easy blending, offering a natural look that can be built up as needed. However, I did encounter some challenges with the formula. While the color matched surprisingly well and gave my skin a healthy, radiant glow, I noticed that it tends to be slightly drying. Some existing dry patches became more pronounced after application, which can be a significant downside if you’re someone who struggles with dry skin.Because of these drying properties, I'm hesitant to give it a full recommendation. If you have normal to oily skin, you might find this foundation works beautifully for you. However, for those with dry or combination skin, it's worth considering how the product interacts with your specific skin concerns before diving in.Overall, the cushion foundation is worth trying if you're looking for a budget-friendly option that offers good coverage and a great finish—just be wary if you're prone to dryness.
5.0 out of 5 stars A little covers alot
Tbh as much make up as I own and at times wear I should be a pro . But my weak spot is foundation. I have never gotten a handle on applying it correctly so I go without. Now that my skin is maturing, I have to be even more particular about what I put all over it. Too much can age me . Not enough and my dark circles start looking like I am hiding black eyes. So when I tried this I was pleasantly surprised at how well it works. It goes on so smoothly . The applicator makes it go on evenly without overwhelming my fine lines. Even after going over my dark circles several times in order to cover them I still was pleased that the make up looked light and natural. Even though the color isnt an exact match on me right now it still looks nice. The pictures on my arm are before blending this product and the other is after. The 2nd set of my arm photo is of the color 28N . It has a touch of shimmer but not enough to draw attention to my fine lines As for the pricing its much less than id expect from a high quality brand so its fair.
4.0 out of 5 stars Decent medium coverage
This is a very clear dupe for a well recognized brand. I wish it wasn't so obvious, because it honestly stands up well as it's own product. The color is got was a little too pale for me, it's more of my winter skin color, which is coming up soon, so I'm sure it will be perfect when my summer glow fades. In the meantime, it's totally workable with a little bit of my bronzing drops applied to deepen the color. The one thing I will say is the neutral is a true neutral, I really like that when looking for a foundation, because I have neither warm nor cool undertones and it's hard to find a match in that in between zone. The look and feel of the compact is nice, I like the oblong shape in my hands and the red sponge feels very luxe when applying. The coverage is good, applied after my primer it creates a nice even base and it's too thick. It does dry a little sticky, but that feeling goes away as I blend in my powder bronzer and blush. I don't know how it would hold up if you are a cream blush user, as I feel the powder really balances the finish. It has a nice staying power and removes easily with a gentle micellar water, and so I'm assuming makeup remover would also strip it fairly well.At $24 it's a bit pricey for not being the brand it resembles, but it is a good foundation that holds up well and doesn't lead to breakouts on my skin.
3.0 out of 5 stars Runs lighter
So it is fairly easy to guess who this is duping. This runs lighter than the other one, which I actually own, as well as the lighter shade this one matches, and seems almost ashy in certain lights, which is not due to powder, as I don't powder cushion foundation with SPF, as I then cannot touch it up.It has an OBNOXIOUS floral perfume to it, which takes quite a while to dissipate. It also is not buildable once it dries, and will pill up when built on itself, which is an issue if you're using this as your sole form of SPF, which you pretty much have to because it doesn't build up over SPF, and to make sure I had adequate protection, I had to use a sprayable SPF over this. The Cushion Cover/Puff holder is very hard to close, and I nearly broke it the first time closing it, and in fact, the safety seal was almost impossible to get off, even with the cuticle scissors I wound up using to make enough opening to pull, and it still didn't entirely come off. I would be tempted to get the refill, only this one is a beast to get out of the holder, so refilling it/swapping shades for the season would be a trial.Once I got the initial issues worked out, and using only cream and liquid products, I was able to make it work. If I got this again, I'd need a shade darker, but unless this had a good sale, I'd probably just get the other Red Cushion, as there's not enough savings for me to invest in this one, especially because that perfume is so strong.I have been given this product and tested it for review. All opinions are mine.
