I like the way you can get your sock on easily without bending over. You put the sock on the device while holding it in your lap. I found it tricky at first to hold the device tight enough with one hand AND center the scrunched-up sock over the end with the other hand. I tried a tight rubber band to hold the device, but it pulled on the fabric part and could damage or pull it loose- so scratch that idea! Practice it a few times to see what works for you. You want to pull the sock on so the toe is fitting to the bottom of the device. Pull the rest of the sock up to the top of the device- but not beyond it. Holding the straps tight, swing it onto the floor near your foot. Wiggle your foot into the sock "tunnel" and slowly pull on the straps to pull it on your foot. So simple, yet I can see how it can really help people that have trouble bending over or bringing their knees up to reach their feet. I think its key to center the sock's horizontal toe crease over the end of the device so the sock goes on with the heel in the right place. Overall, I think this device could really help a lot of people
