I'm not a fan of supplement blends since the exact amounts are not listed. I need at at least 9 g daily of type II collagen for joint health. I'm currently taking glucosamine-chondroitin-MSM, hyaluronic acid and fish oil for injury related joint health issues (knees, shoulder, wrist). If I miss supplementing more than a few days, my joints let me know it. I was hoping the Zebora Multi-Collagen powder would be an effective alternative to having to take so many pills every day. Unfortunately, after taking this for a month, this collagen powder blend is not potent enough for me. It does work well for skin health and appearance though. Despite my experience, I still recommend trying it. You should notice improvements in your skin within a couple of weeks. As for effectiveness for joint health, it depends on the cause and degree of inflammation. Zebora collagen powders are good quality, affordable and definitely worth a try.I you go to the DrAxe website and do a search on collagen, you will find great overviews of the types and uses of collagen supplements.

As we get older, our bodies produce less collagen. Collagen is important for skin, hair, connective tissue, and countless other things. I take a collagen supplement. There are many different sources of collagen, so I move my collagen supplements around to different types simply for more variety and types has to be better – right? So which collagen source is this? It is a combination of Bovine, Chicken, Eggshell, and Marine.Most of my collagen is powder form; I like these because they are basically a flavorless powder you can incorporate into a drink such as a smoothie. And that is exactly what you get here; a scoop easily dissolves in water and has indiscernible taste.If you are a weightlifter taking a post-workout protein or EAA/BCAA supplement, you might consider Collagen. I have also come to realize that some of these collagen supplements are complete (or very close to complete) with Essential Amino Acid (EAA) and they tend to be more cost effective (cheaper) and they have less "stuff" such as artificial sweeteners and strange flavors that are more common in athletic supplements. If nothing else, if you cross shop collagen looking for amino acid supplements you have a larger selection of products to choose from. All collagen is protein; not all protein is collagen. This is why I started with collagen supplement (fitness), but I continue on days I don't workout too.If I were to offer criticism, it is that this is a "joint blend" and also contains Chondroitin and MSM. These are fine additions, but I also take a Glucosamine supplement that includes Chondroitin and MSM. Not limiting me but be aware you may be getting some things from multiple sources so make sure you understand every supplement you take.

I have been using various types of collagen for the last several months to try to help strengthen my nails, increase the volume of my hair and help with skin elasticity. I don’t know if any of them are working but I figured I’d give this one a try.The jar is pretty big and says it has about 35 servings. It does come with its own scoop. The powder doesn’t really have any flavor or smell to it and is very light. I used 8 oz. from a room temperature bottle of water since the jar says cold water will make it clump. I typically add the powder to my morning smoothie but wanted to taste it on its own to make sure there was no unusual taste. There really wasn’t. It dissolved pretty quick and after stirring the water was crystal clear. It didn’t take long for it to dissolve to be fully clear. I just used a plastic fork, but since that was clear I thought I would put the dark whisk in the glass just to show how clear it is. I added ice to it and there really wasn’t any flavor or smell to it at all.
