***it does take a memory card for extra space. If you're looking for the micro SD slot for more space you have to take the tablet cover off, and it's on one of the longer sides of the tablet. Flip it and insert memory card. Put back on your tablet cover. It's great so kids can't take it out as easy.**** Another update ****If your child's apps/games disappear try these two things:1. Check your Bolo kids subscription (you get 1 year free, then you have to renew.)2. Go into parental controls. Make sure you have not limited screen time (or set time limits), or turned on learning first. Just check all those boxes off, and fix the limits/restrictions after they get their apps/games back.They should reappear checking those 2 things.--------- Review ---------My child has had a fire tablet since he was 4. I have upgraded to the newest kids tablet every year for his birthday. This is the newest one for him. He's loved playing Minecraft, Roblox, some apps that come pre installed on the tablet, and he also likes browsing the store.- The kids fire tablet is easy for kids to use and pick up on.- I can set restrictions like he has to read or learn first, and what times he can use it to limit screen time.- The coolest thing is I can do it all from my phone. From approving games, education, and screen time.The memory on the device is decent for a kid but you can always upgrade it with a micro SD card. He has Minecraft, Roblox, messenger for kids, YouTube/YouTube kids, and some other games/apps. I had to approve.Sound: whew this thing is loud for what it is. I'd recommend some headphones so you don't have to hear it loll.Overall the appearance nice, it's a good value for your money (I know it's a high price tag compared to other brands) but the amount of peace it brings to a parent is worth it. Such as they can't purchase items from the store that cost money. You have to approve it.

This is a great product and perfect for vacation. It has the 3.5mm jack for kids headphones and an excellent battery life. Internet connectivity can be tricky to navigate from the kids profile but easily set up from parent profile. Lots of options and durable

This is a really nice and updated version. I got it on sale so that was great but the value matches the price. It's touch screen and I recommend a cover for protection for kids. The memory is a lot better than the older versions and the sound goes really loud. Very clear and I can use the parent app to monitor and control content. The only thing is I as a parent would like to be able to block YouTube for kids as it leads to inappropriate videos regardless of the settings. That is a major safety concern so please be aware fellow parents!

We had some long flights for a two-week family vacation and thought having tablets for our boys would be necessary. We aren't the type of parents that allow our kids to use phones or tablets so we didn't want to buy iPads. I was pleasantly surprised of the parental controls, the quality of the screen, durability, battery life and speed. Our boys 4 & 7 were able to use two of these on vacation, they watched movies played games and took pictures and video and had a great time. Now that we're no longer on vacation they use them on long road trips, or only on the weekends, and only for an hour a day. The parental controls enforce these rules quite nicely.Overall we're very happy with this purchase, and I'm very happy it didn't cost an arm and a leg!

Bought 2 of these last Christmas for the grandkids. They love them. I love that they can be set up to allow age-appropriate content. With the Bolo Kids subscription, the grandkids can "shop" the app store and download content that aligns with their account settings. They can request content that either costs dollars or is a little outside of the guardrail settings. They are pretty sturdy. One of the two tablets is acting a little weird 9 months out; we have to turn it off and turn it back on, and then all is well. I know there was a 2-year warranty included - so I am hopeful that if I have to use it, that will go well. That is the reason for the 4 stars due to one of the tablets acting up.

Purchased this about a month ago and so far so good! We upgraded from a fire 8 kids and this is much faster and responsive. So far so good for occasional use that we do on road trips.

We bought this tablet for my daughter after her last one broke. The package was delivered quickly and on time. Inside was the tablet, case, charging cord, and wall adapter. We upgraded to the newer version that is designed for older kids. This tablet has a much sleeker case but it is still sturdy and protective. Plus she loves the cute colorful design. The battery life is decent but of course will deplete faster when using certain apps. We charge it 3-4 days a week and it charges easily and fast. The table is very lightweight with a screen the perfect size for my daughter to watch movies, read books, or play games. And the headphone jack is ideal when we are on the go. Being able to download apps is also great when we are away and can't always connect to WIFI. Whether connected to the internet or not, all the apps seem to perform faster than her last tablet too. My favorite feature is all the parental controls. Some are set by default but can easily be changed. I love that I can set screen time limits and require a set time amount of something educational be done before the other apps are available. This product is definitely worth getting for your children.
