    This is my second LG PC BluRay player. Works great, software is excellent. Is a bit noisy on startup, but gets quiet while playing. I love it. Supports archive CD's. If you are going to have a disk drive it makes sense to have BluRay capability. I have a extensive BluRay library. I live in the boonies so my streaming is too slow for hi-def anything (Dial up). I know, it's brutal.

    Will not work on windows 11 not even recognized by msi or gigabite motherbord

    I bought this to archive a massive group of photographs. Eighty six gigabites of photos were written to a disc with no problem. I was disappointed to see that, unlike the last LG Blu-Ray drive that I bought, this drive did not come with CyberLink software, thus the loss of one star.

    ...but, I have a bunch of DVDs from CBS Video (THE GOOD WIFE and THE GOOD FIGHT) that won't play on this drive. The main fault may be with CBS, but they all play on my external drive.

    I am surprised that this is an LG product that is a great disappointment. I opened the box to find the only thing in it was an external drive. There were no cords, cables, screws, instruction manual. LG has always been a product that I know and trust. I don't know what happened, but this sure did not meet the standard I expected from them!!
