5.0 out of 5 stars A quality, affordable ATX size PSU
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } The media could not be loaded. Bottomline up front: A quality unit from a known brand name that offers a really hard to beat watt-per-dollar value.Got this budget friendly PSU to replace the stock 300W psu in my Acer TC885 home PC in order to power a GPU upgrade, specifically a GTX 1060. The stock PSU did not have an 8 pin power connector, and I wasn't looking to spend a whole lot on upgrades. I've used Apevia in the past and have been happy with them, and so when I saw this and the price was right with overall good ratings, I decided to give it a go.The PSU arrived very quickly. The PSU is a simple black cased unit with a 120mm cooling fan and black fan grill, not the gawdy chrome kind. Per Apevia, the cooling is auto thermally controlled and has built in protections. The package had minimal contents...a double sided 1-page info/install sheet, a small bag of 4 knob style screws, a power cable to plug the PSU into the wall, and the PSU/cables itself, in a bubble wrap bag. I attached an unboxing video so you can see exactly what came in the box.Although the case is quite ordinary looking, it looked and "felt" to be well built. Holding the PSU, it does have some decent weight to it, and looking inside the grate and grills, you can see the components within, which all looked (and smelled) new. (I know, I know...a visual and smell test is not an objective or scientific means to test quality LOL!!!) All in all, it looked like a quality, if not cosmetically boring unit. The PSU fit in my Acer TC885 without any issue, and everything plugged up nicely. It's also very nice that the cables are all sleeved...something that more expensive units don't offer. I only needed a few of the plugs, so once all those were plugged in, I just used a velcro strap to re-bundle the rest of the unused cables and tucked them as nicely as possible inside the PC. Since it's a non-modular unit, you're unfortunately stuck with having excess cables to have to figure out how to store/tuck away in your build.Anyway, the PSU fired up with the PC without any issue. After running my PC for a while and doing a few tests to purposely draw power (benchmarking, graphic/CPU intense gaming, etc), the PSU is running smoothly. I've been running this PSU on my PC, used daily for everyday computing and some light gaming, for over a week now without any issues. So far, so good!At 600W, it's a bit overkill for my PC (i3-9100, 16GB RAM, and now a GTX 1060 GPU), but it's hard to beat the price value this unit offers, as 500W units were actually selling for more!! The only "strikes" I can think of are (1) no 80+ rating and (2) it's not on the A through C PSU tier list. But with regards to the PSU tier list, at least it's not one that's listed on the "avoid" or "replace immediately" tiers!Overall, initial impressions are: this is a quality, solidly built unit from a known brand name that is easy on your wallet. Should anything change, I'll post an update.
5.0 out of 5 stars worked perfect for #idgafgamingpc build. Plenty of power for a rx580 w/ i72600k Play BFV temp @81*F
this worked perfect for the #idgafgamingpc build. GREAT for budget builds and newbs, or even pros..Plenty of power for a rx580 w/ i72600k Playin BFV..Runs the CASE AND CPU fans, MB, SMOOTH. been letting it run daily, for past months. So far so good.. PLENTY of extra cable, and plugs, for any type of connection.. what i like, Is i wont be afraid to cut the harnes ends shorter for the SDD/HDD supplys, since theres like 8x? and there 3ft long...(YOU COULD CUT HALF OF THE sdd/hdd supply CABLE OFF, but i like having the option if i need too use them too ie: power and extra case fan or 4x) Only problem is all wires are BLACK..SO if you wanta splice stuff, you mite wanta check with a voltmeter first..and label) Fits in fullsize case nice.. came with a supply cable. 120 ac US style plug. The fan, its quiet imho.. Its no louder then the RX580 GPU(while GPU at normal op temps 48% fan speed).. I can live with it.. Its not and annoying fan like the DELL i had..Doesnt seem too run that hot. Stays cool in a fullsize case.. I snagged mycooking temp from the kitchen i use for roasts.. An think at normal idle mode, not gaming, lslow easy games, my thermometer says The PSU Outlet air temp is about 81*F right below the PSU.CANT BEAT IT..MAKE A GREAT PSU FOR A BENCH TESTER BUILD, OR BATTERY CHARGER, ALSO..
5.0 out of 5 stars It's Perfect!
I decided to upgrade an old Dell Optiplex 9010 by adding a GPU that required extra power. This PSU was one of the first that popped up so for it's extra power compared the the one I have, it's size, and the price I bought it. I was a little nervous afterwards and reading a few of the reviews, but I was excited when it arrived and I could install it. I also decided to upgrade the case from the old Dell one to an Aura GC1 due to the lack of underside airflow and not enough space for the GPU and this PSU fits in it perfectly. It's more quieter than the case fans and not one single issue so far. So glad it has all the connectors I needed and was lacking in my old setup.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great customer support and warranty
While it works its good...purchased not one but 2. First one lasted 6 months purchased in June 2023....I should have learned my lesson and purchased another one in January of 2024 that one just died today 3/24. Fire hazard to be sure...can smell the plastic and saw it arching!!!On a positive note, the vendor honored their warranty and quickly sent me a replacement thank you!
4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad
No bad for the price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really good. Installed in new generic case in 30 seconds .... really.
This feels solid and well built. Tested and working fine. Quiet. Lots and lots of cables ... well sheathed. I think this would hook up to almost anyting.
5.0 out of 5 stars The Cheapest One
This power supply is the cheapest I found on Bolo; it packs enough power for anyone's needs. I bought it to install on a gaming PC. It works flawless without any issues thus far. Will buy again should the need arise.

(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Great power supply had all power connections needed for a 8 pin gpu and everything works great
No problems so far
Not the most efficient and the power cable connection is sketchy, I’ve had it slip out during games a few times(I have had this PSU for several months now) but it works if you needa power supply on a really tight budget.Overall, nice ATX PSU, and it’s nice that it has 4+4 Pin CPU Power
Low quality. Don't bother
If you're building a gamer I wouldn'trecommend these psu's.Tried one and within minutes could smell burning plastic.A psu is VERY important. Buy good quality 80 + Gold if you can afford it
Priced right
Didn’t work on my computer. Don’t know
do not buy
had it for a few months and it died already
