No assembly required, just adjust the height you want it at. I love the silicone strips that makes sure the back of your computer doesn’t get scratched. And it definetly helps with my computer not over heating seeing how the fans are on bottom. Highly recommend this product

For the price you cannot go wrong...it is made mostly of plastic so it might not hold for long if you're caring it around, but if you have it all the time in a desk like me it's perfect. Holds my Macbook pro 14 and macbook air 13 perfectly. Not sure about bigger heavier laptops but i bet it will work.

I have a similar stand that’s a few dollars more expensive, and I would definitely go for that over this. It does the job, although I probably wouldn’t trust it with bigger laptops.My other one is metal and came with a nice little bag for it, and the locking mechanism is better too. The locking mechanism needs improvement for this stand.A positive is that it seems to be more lightweight, which is nice.
Good quality material
I bought a similar one that did not look nor feel as premium as this one. Same pool chair design, however these notches I think are way sturdier. I've looked at plenty other products, but most of them have too much surface area holding the laptop, which reduces the ability for heat to diffuse. Especially if your laptop has vents on the bottom.To ensure you don't overheat your laptop, always double check where your air intake and exhaust are and keep those clear of obstruction. Most laptops shouldn't have vents underneath, but I still prefer to have less contact with surface for good measure. The stand is nice and portable for you hybrid workers, and easy to setup. The rubber grips are glued, but they are also nice and thick, so if they start to peel should be an easy fix (gorilla glue, as most other glues night melt the rubber).The only thing worth getting better than this, is if you want one of those monitor+laptop dual articulating arms, but that might be a bit more of an expensive investment, especially if you need to get a VESA compatible monitor in addition to the stand. But, it might facilitate cable management as you can see, these stands are more for portability. Whereas the dual articulating arm stands are more for desk space maximization and cable management.5 stars overall because the quality is better for the same price. My rating does not compare with alternative solutions, but alterernative products of the exact same design.
Perfect portable stand
I’ve been using this stand for around 6 months and have no complaints.The stand folds down into a smaller size and is lightweight. Easily set it back up again at multiple different angles in no time at all.It holds my MacBook Pro 16” and is very sturdy.Highly recommend!

I got the first stand for my daughter. After seeing it at work with her MacBook, I ordered my own.I was impressed by its sturdy build and how compact it packs for transportation. My daughter's computer and my laptops (work and personal) are not overheating by hours of continuous work.The track surface has a textured non-slip surface, anchoring the laptop. A hook at the bottom of the resting tracks protects the unit from getting off the stand, keeping it level as well. This will prove more useful on higher inclines.Several angles can be used for your device. The most vertical option (around 45°) works great with my iPad. Some people may find they need it more vertical for tablets and phones. The distance between the tracks is adjustable, so one can fit any equipment they have.Personally, I would like another notch or two for lower angles (I measure the lowest setting at about 10°). In a flat, horizontal position, the laptop sits 2 cm above the desk surface, and the structure is open to allow a fluid airflow.My wife is happy getting back the cookie rack I was using until now :-)

Sturdy and compact
I’ve been using this stand for a couple of weeks now, and I’m impressed with its build quality and adjustability.
