Includes Limitied Edition Trading Card #62. Originally Released in 1979. Legends of Rock Edition. 2022 Girder Records, GR1092. Washes Whiter Than was Petra's 3rd album and introduced us to Greg X. Volz. It also introduced us to Rob Frazier and if you've been following our Legends of Rock series, you'll know that we released remastered CDs of both of Rob's first two solo albums. Both Rob and Greg handled lead vocals for the album and even sang on both "I'm Thankful," as well as "Yahweh Love." The band was intentional about creating a soft radio friendly album as their two previous albums were too hard/heavy for Christian radio in the 70s which was mellow. Thankfully, songs like "Morning Star" and "Magic Words" still rock, and musically it is a masterpiece and holds it's rightful place among other albums. The album art was pretty cool too, originally created to look like a soapbox thanks to George Werth. Although there was no song called Washes Whiter Than, we clearly knew after listening to it, that Jesus washes our sins away.

Own the 1988 Petra CD "Never Say Die" & "Washes Whiter Than" (2 albums in 1 CD set) with the 2 above noted songs missing from the Washes Whiter Than album. Was glad to see the 2021 remastered and the full album of Washes Whiter Than in its entirely. The sound quality is excellent after comparing to the 2-in-1 CD, big difference, more richer quality. Nice to see these Petra albums all getting remastered, but would like to see their first and second album remastered as well....unless it's out there but I didn't see it. This is my first remastered Petra album but have all their original 80's CD's, will definitely keep buying the other remasters in the future. Can't wait to hear them! Excellent job Capitol / Girder Records! Kudos to you!

I just listened to the newly remastered CD from the Legend of Rock Series and loved it! Sound quality is really good and probably the best it will ever sound of an album from 1979.Still want the Never say Die Remaster but it's still too much.No ones going to pay $30 something dollars for it.Anyway ,Washes Whiter than Legends of Rock is highly recommended.👍

Includes All 10 Songs For The First Time on CD
WWT was released in 1979 but was never transferred onto CD with all 10 songs included. Until now. The 1988 double album (which I own) and includes 1981's Never Say Die, leaves off "(Couldn't Find Love) Without You" (song #7) and "Magic Words" (song #10). Now, this fully remastered album, with full-colour, 8-page booklet and trading card, has it all. Looks and sounds amazing!

El disco es una joya, pero el empaquetado es pésimo.El disco venía en una bolsa de papel, lo que ocasionó que la caja del cd se golpeara, dañara y se rompiera en el trayecto de entrega.Si bien esto no tiene que ver con el producto. No encontré donde reclamar sobre esto.
