The glass is not thick, but then a vase full of cut flowers doesn't get bumped around a lot. I embellish glass containers with polymer clay artwork or paint and these end up gorgeous and once the clay is baked on they are actually quite sturdy. Another use is to grow cuttings of plants in them. I fill them half way with pretty stones, tuck in my cuttings, add other pretty stones, add water to the container to right about where the stems end, It's a really pretty way to root cuttings of many plants such as vines, pothos,etc. Great gift for a plant loving friend.

When the pandemic makes it impossible to go to the store to check on quality,there are a lot of folks out there selling Poor Quality. This item comes underPQ heading. Although professional-looking care had been used to pack theseitems, alas, the items themselves are flimsy: the glass is EXTREMELY THINand the three Hurricane Pillar Candle holders arrived broken. Bolo is on a wildbinge to "save the environment," which in fact means that Bolo is using lesssturdy packaging. Increasingly items arrive from Bolo that are so poorly packed that the items are damaged.
