I’ve been coloring my roots now for the last few years. I’m a natural redhead and have no problem with the natural lightening of my hair due to age. However I have these two shocks of gray on either side of my crown area that I’m not ready to embrace. Think Bride of Frankenstein. I’m trying to grow my hair out and make it a little more healthy. I’m 55 years old so my hair damages a little more easily.I applied this to dry hair and combed through. Put on a disposable shower cap and waited the 25 minutes. I used my dishwashing gloves to apply. In the shower I rinsed, shampooed with my Biotin color safe shampoo and conditioned from root to tip. I always air dry my hair because it’s naturally wavy and I don’t have to do much to get the look I like. I use a heat protector because I get a lot of sun.The color did not rub off on my towel or my pillowcase when sleeping. I also wet it in the shower this morning as I usually do. No significant color loss or difference. And my hair feels like it has had a deep conditioning from the salon. I was using a color depositing conditioner from another brand but they discontinued it in my local drugstore and the price is always different on Bolo. Plus it a little drying.I’m so glad I gave this a try. I used honey blonde as my hair is a strawberry blonde color now and the blending was seamless. My roots look so natural for once. And when someone asks me if I color my hair I’m going to tell them I use this and I’m so happy with it.

My friend began coloring her hair with a different shade of this product, & I noticed over the weeks how shiny/healthy her hair was all of the sudden. I asked what she was using, & she attributed her hair health to switching to this hair dye from one of the harsher brands, as well as a new conditioner she'd been trying.On gut instinct I tried this hair color product, & I'M NEVER LOOKING BACK!! 😍💃🕺💕👏👏 It is wonderful!! Where have you been my whole graying life????? Aaaaah!It's ok at least I've found you now, my precious. 😍😂To apply, it is a smidge more tedious, for me, anyway ... you first have to gently shampoo your hair with whatever shampoo you normally use, then after a *very light* towel dry, apply this product.Note: It does Not come with gloves, so BYOG - Bring Your Own Gloves - to the shower / application experience to avoid the dreaded Oompa Loopma color stained hands.I've tried it both ways, & in my experience, just putting it on blindly while standing or sitting inside your shower seems to work best. Trying to stand over your bathroom counter so you can watch in the mirror to see what you're doing during application is a not-needed drippy, sloppy, aggravating pirate-mouthed drama you *just don't need*.Just put your waterproof (vinyl, latex, etc) gloves on, hop into the shower, shampoo just 1x, rinse, wring your hair out a little bit in-shower, then apply the coloring product just trusting your gut & your gloves to work it through your whole head of hair from scalp to end.Also just a tip, the product seems to work better the wetter your hair is to some extent, so that's another reason to go with the in-shower method. I also brought a handy-dandy hair tie into the shower w/ me, so that after I'd saturated my hair with the color product, I put my hair into a bun so as to avoid the constant color-dyed streams of wetness dripping down me while I waited the necessary time for the color to do its job.The box recommends 25 minutes of wait-time once you've applied it, so I just use this time to bathe, shave, etc. Then all you do is rinse & condition normally with your own conditioner. (No conditioner included, but that's ok, the results are worth it, trust me.)If you must leave the shower to go chill somewhere for the 25 minutes while you wait for the dye to work, I'd recommend the bun idea plus tying a plastic grocery bag over your hair to further prevent drips/stains. It looks JUST AS TRASHY (haha no pun intended) as it sounds, but it works super great & you can just toss the bag after use. (Or recycle, of course.)Anyway, the results of this hair product ARE FABULOUS!! The very very first time you use it, you may see some small tinges where the product didn't knock away alll of your grays completely. However, not to worry, because after a few weeks when you're ready for the 2nd application, the color 100% builds upon itself & your grays WILL be covered after that 2nd round.Any small gripes with this product are so worth it, because ... IT DOESN'T DRY OUT YOUR HAIR! Hooraaay!! 🎉🎊My hair is shinier than ever since switching to this product just 4 weeks ago! Happy dance initiated!!💃🥊👏💕💃😍Thank GOD for this product honestly, because my hair had become so fried out from regular coloring, I was about to give in and just go gray all the way, but I really didn't wanna! And I don't have the tax-bracket-status to visit a salon more than say, oh, once a year.So please, you owe it to yourself to at least try this product; I have a lot of hair, about medium-length, & I get 2 full uses per bottle. Which makes it affordable (aka possible) for me to buy.Go for it, you won't be disappointed! 💖

I used this on my white grey roots to match the rest of my blonde dyed hair. I had to apply it about 3 times every time after I shampooed and by the 4th shampoo it had built up enough color I didn't have to apply it again. I wash my hair 2x a week. It takes putting it on every time a few times after washing then it doesn't wash out as easily for some reason. Left it on for 30 minutes damp roots. This last time after shampoo #3 I didn't have to apply it again. The white greys still looked blonde when it dried.

I had to switch from demi-permanent and permanent hair color because they were getting so brassy on my aging, increasingly gray, curly, coarse-ish (caucasian) hair and making my hair look dull. Also, as you get older you don't want such a contrast between your hair color and your face -- IMO it just makes you look older. And I'm not willing to spend hundreds of dollars on getting natural-looking highlights, so this is the best option for my needs & my budget.This product isn't a miracle-worker by any stretch, but it works great for me in terms of covering my gray without making my hair look matte and dull. The gray hairs that get covered look shinier & like highlights. I mix a variety of colors to get the desired result: right now I'm using 6N and 4A on my naturally medium/dark brown hair which used to have natural reddish/gold highlights. I used to add 6G to try to mimic the reddish/gold, but it ended up adding an unnatural cast. Likewise I'll sometimes add 3W, but usually just stick to 6N & 4A.Of course you have to reapply fairly often because it does wash out, but I'm definitely willing to deal with that annoyance in exchange for more a more natural, less heavy-looking color.

the first time i ever used this was for Halloween , now I. use it to disguise grays & give my hair some oomf between coloring . Now that I'm older my hair damages more easily ,this product leaves no damage at all & only lasts a couple washes , so if you don't like it pick a different color . since there is no mixing or damage you cant make your hair light blond, but you can enhance the tone & get tons of shine & hide grey . every one should give this a try its a great product !

Blonde one day, brunette the next and in a month, blonde again without the damage.I’ve ombréd my hair extensions with this too and it turns out perfect.I’ve purchased the pink and orange as well and I’ve mixed it with conditioner for an all over tinge…. I like it. I like this product. It’s super easy to play with.

Si me gustó el resultado, tengo cabello castaño y matizó mis canas con el color tal como se muestra en la foto (Tono 6N), como si fueran luces. No tiene olor desagradable, lo apliqué en mi cabello seco y dejé reposar 50 minutos para tener mejor resultado. Con un envase fue suficiente para mi cabello a los hombros.Además duró mas que la mascarilla de color de moroccanoil.

Easy to use and does not have an offensive smell but unfortunately, my hair become so dry and brittle.
Super easy to use
I'm very allergic/sensitive to harsh chemicals and thought I'd try this as it doesn't contain ammonia or peroxide. The patch test went well, so I went ahead, and am very pleased with the result. It was very easy to use, the dye is thick and doesn't drip at all. The little bit that got on my skin was easily washed off. Despite the thickness of the dye, it was easy to rinse off after the required 25 minutes. The dye takes a while to fade (it's been 5 shampoos since and hardly any fading). However, as my hair grows fast, the white roots appear after 2 weeks. I reapply the dye to just the roots, not a problem. Overall, I'm very happy to have found this product and I hope it never goes out of production.
