Dinosaurs are popular in my house right now. This guy is very big and my daughter loves riding him, and having him attack every other dinosaur she owns, many of them fit in his mouth. Pretty easy to put him and the base together.

Make no mistake about it: this toy is huge and the box that it comes in is enormous! If you are buying this to take to a birthday party, there's a very good chance that you will be taking the biggest present...and by some way! It's also pretty well built, was easy to assemble and looks very cool. My only concern is that apart from the lunging of the head, the growling and the changing eye colours, it doesn't really do very much. It would have been nice for instance, given the price, if it could have walked. It's one of those toys that the child might not go back to regularly after the initial fascination wears off, and that could be a problem because it takes a lot of storage space. I would therefore only recommend this if the child really loves dinosaurs or Jurassic Park.

I bought this along with the truck that carries Blue for my nephew as a Christmas present. I was a little nervous because he's 7 years old and I thought maybe it would be a little "young" for him... was I wrong!! He is in LOVE with this. The toy is so well designed and has so many extra gizmos and details, I wish I could give it more than 5 stars. The noise volume, even when in high, is still quite low. The option of having different levels though is really great. The eyes changing colours (even this size of the pupils!!), the biting action, the movie-like sound effects... HUGE HIT! Even his Mum joined in, lol.
