A little longer than "standard", deep bowl, nice looking and functional. The low side of the bowl top makes lighting a breeze. The thicker wood of the bowl makes it marginally cooler to the touch, depending on how you smoke. Only thing is I wish it was briar instead of pear, but oh well.

I took a chance on this pipe, but it has paid off handsomely. It's not briar, but it has formed a perfect cake. It fits the hand well. It is not a clencher. It's too heavy for that, so it won't work for taking a walk. But, it's perfect holding it in the hand, taking a draw, and reading a paper or book while sipping an appropriate beverage. I also like the fact that it holds two 9mm filters, but does not inhibit the draw, while providing a clean, smooth smoke. I highly recommend this pipe for an evening on the porch or sitting by the lake.

It looks nice and feels good in the hand. I would recommend this pipe to a beginner as well as a seasoned pipe smoker...I've seen bad reviews stating it crack/ broke after a few uses... if that be the case chances are they are smoking their pipe too hot.Which is typically cause by not loading and packing the pipe properly and/or smoking it too fast. I've smoked a pipe for over 20 years and had that same problem when I first started, with cheap as well as expensive pipes, Until a family elder showed me how to properly prepare and pack a pipe for smoking... Once I mastered my technique I never had that problem again. Keep in mind smoking a pipe is a pleasurable activity not a convenience!

Some reviews say this pipe is not well made or made with cheap materials. I say these people don't how to smoke a pipe properly or how to handle one properly. This is a very well crafted pipe and is also a very artistic design that fits in your left hand perfectly. Take proper care of this pipe and it will last forever.

Love this pipe. The price you cannot get better. A pipe like this should be near $100+. Smokes well. While others report the stem braking/cracking etc, I have had no issue at all. Of course I let it cool before attempting to twist the stem off. The full length of the pipe does make it heavy and will need to use your teeth to hold it in your mouth…taking the middle section off makes it look like a normal length stem and light enough to hold with my lips while I work.Great pipe!!!

I have smoked this pip about 8 times now. It works. Tends to get quite hot. No problems with the stem breaking although I was aware of the problems so I am extra careful. I guess if you don't want to spend more then $30 its not bad but you can do dramatically better--like totally different league better-- if you spend $40 more. This pipe might last but I'm not betting on it given how it keeps overheating. It is already showing a hairline crack in the bowl which will probably fail someday. There are plenty of $50-70 pipes that will last a lifetime so this is probably not a good buy. If you do wind up loving it you will soon be spending the money on something far better anyways. I currently use it as a pipe to test other aromatic tobaccos.

This is an excellently designed and constructed pipe, but it's exclusively made to be held in the left hand by right handed people. Lefties would find it very difficult to light because of the curved shape of the bowl's top. I use it with a screen for medical marijuana and it's fabulous. Highly recommended. This is a really nice pipe.
