5.0 out of 5 stars They work very well
This year, the mice problem in my house is above average. Mouse crap in places I never knew they could get to, but they managed to. War was declared when one of those dirty mice bored a hole completely through a brand new loaf of bread. From heel to heel.Started with 8 of them bought, set 6 of them, baited them with a dab of peanut butter. Overnight, out of 6 traps set, 4 of them sent those unlucky mice to meet Jesus. The other 2 are waiting their turn. Rebaited and reset the other 4, rinse and repeat. Getting more. They do work, and quite well.
5.0 out of 5 stars After you know how to use them properly they work great
At first I couldn't figure out why the mice were eating the bait off of the trap and the trap wasn't snapping. Then I watch the video how to use I was putting too much big all you need is a little dab of peanut butter I mean a small one and you catch mice like no tomorrow. The mice decided to visit my apartment every day every time I look they were running around like crazy. So I prepared a little going away present the traps and I caught 21 of them
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Mousetraps
These mouse traps are small but effective. They work! They are also easy to bait with some peanut butter. Setting them is simple as well, nothing tricky like some traps. I recommend these.
4.0 out of 5 stars Caught the mouse within 2 hours, happy with the product!
We caught the mouse within 2 hours of setting the trap. We put a little bit of cheese on it and it wasn't long before we heard it snap. Funnily enough, the others we set in the house had peanut butter on them, and our dogs (petite, mid-sized, and larger deer-head Chihuahuas) that tried to get the food off the traps and it triggered the trap, and they jumped like an elephant that had just seen a mouse, lol, it was actually funny, and one of them was dumb enough to try it again, I swear I have these dogs spoiled, lol, I love them very much, they are my companions and my family. I work from home, so they are almost always near me, haha. Anyway, the trap works perfectly, it didn't hurt my dogs either, they eventually smartened up and stopped trying to eat from the mouse traps, lol.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cost Efficient Rodent Control
These mouse traps are cost efficient and they effectively manage rodent control. They are easy to use, small, and fast acting traps. We’ve even been able to reuse them. They keep my home rodent free.
3.0 out of 5 stars Middle-of-the-Road Performance: Tomcat Mouse Traps Get the Job Done but Lack Durability
The Tomcat Wooden Mouse Traps promise an inexpensive and effective solution for catching mice in the home. While they are generally successful in trapping mice, there are some shortcomings that make this a 3-star product.Construction and DesignThe wooden base and metal trigger mechanism are standard features in mouse traps of this kind. The construction is what you would expect for the price point—functional but not extraordinarily durable.EffectivenessThe traps do work; I was able to catch several mice over a month-long testing period. However, their effectiveness seemed to diminish with repeated use. The sensitivity of the trigger mechanism appeared to decrease over time, leading to a few near-misses.Pros: 1. Affordable: Definitely one of the more budget-friendly options on the market. 2. Easy to Set: The traps are straightforward to set up, requiring minimal effort. 3. Effective Initially: They do a decent job at catching mice during the first few uses.Cons: 1. Decreased Sensitivity: The traps tend to become less sensitive and effective with repeated use. 2. Limited Durability: The wooden base is prone to warping, particularly in humid conditions. 3. Single-Use Nature: Given their lack of durability, they’re practically single-use items.ComparisonCompared to other mouse traps like the Victor Metal Pedal Mouse Trap, the Tomcat traps are less durable but equally easy to set up. Victor traps maintained their sensitivity longer, making them a better long-term option despite a slightly higher cost.Usage ExperienceI used the Tomcat Mouse Traps in various locations around my home, including the kitchen and garage. While the traps did manage to catch mice, the diminishing effectiveness over repeated use was noticeable. After about a month, one of the traps also showed signs of warping, likely due to humidity.Final ThoughtsThe Tomcat Wooden Mouse Traps offer a budget-friendly but less durable option for those dealing with a minor mouse problem. They’re effective initially but lose their efficiency over time. If you’re looking for a short-term solution, these traps may suffice. However, for more persistent issues, investing in a more durable set of traps would be advisable.Thank you for reading this review. I hope it provides the information you need to make an informed purchasing decision.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works very well
Unfortunately mice seem to get into my work shop, I can't stand mice. These traps have worked perfectly, rarely do they miss. I found baiting with peanut butter works extremely well. It also helps if you even use a little peanut butter on the trigger wire, where it intersects with the plastic bait pad, they have to work it a little more to get the food.
4.0 out of 5 stars 24 pack
These are the most cost effective solution to a rodent problem. Traps are easy to set. Removing one star because a few had some quality control issues that I was able to fix with a pair of pliers. If you are thinking of buying the bulk pack labeled 24 traps, it's actually 24 two-packs, so 48 traps total. It comes in two shelf display boxes like you would see in store.
Broken after 2 times
Wooden traps do not instantly kill the mice unless it traps it perfectly over the neck and one of the traps fell apart after 2 times. Do NOT buy this product.
