When it arrived was not super impressed... looked very much like my $4-5 black cutter I picked up at the local tobacco shop. The visual differences being plastic is nicer and has a red color, and the blades are painted a black color. Together this gives a styled visual effect but does nothing for the function of the device. So how does it stack up to my cutter from the local shop? Glad to say much improved in how smooth the action is (seems to slow your motion to acheive this) as well as how well it slices through your stick. Much sharper! For my money I would skip buying a $30-40 dollar unit and grab two of this and a good stogie.

It may look like those cheap 2 dollar cutters, but I'm happy to say it lives up to the Colibri name and is very sharp and delivers a good crisp cut and doesn't pinch or break your cigar. Can't ask for more, I'd rather get this for $10 and spend more money on a few cigars than get a $50 or even $80 or $100 cutter that really won't cut any better (although may stay sharp longer) although I've been using this cutter several times a day for almost a month and it's still as sharp as when it came.

Kind of over priced of a plastic cutter. It broke in to multiple pieces after a few uses. I tried to return it, they didn't even want it back as if they know it's no good. Must be a common occurrence.Shouldn't be worth more than a few bucks. If you try to use the warranty, they want you to ship it back, and also provide payment for return shipping - using the warranty ends up costing more than a new cutter.If more than 10 bucks it should be a metal cutter not this cheap plastic. no good

This is the best cutter I use. This is my second one, just in case I need it. The blades are serrated which greatly enhances the possibility of getting a good cut.
