5.0 out of 5 stars Glyco-Flex III is Awesome for Arthritic or Joint Issues! - Update 5-9-20
A while ago, I wrote a review about Glyco-Flex III and what a great product it has been for my lab who was born with severe genetic arthritis from birth and before the age of 2, had TPLO surgery in both back legs.I adopted my lab at 4yrs old in 2012, it is now 2020. He he has been on Glyco-Flex for over 8 yrs. and is still doing AMAZING on it! When he originally was placed on Glyco-Flex, we followed directions for dosing up to 4 chews a day, then through to maintenance at 2 chews a day. When he turned 10 yrs old, we noticed he was struggling get up and down and doing stairs, so we placed him on the max dose of 4 chews a day (with vet approval) and that brought him back to his normal mobile self.He is now 12 yrs old, and as his arthritis progresses, we noticed he struggles more and more getting up and down on non-carpeted floors, doing stairs (or any at all), and doesn't want to run or jog like he used to. We called our vet and asked for solutions and they indicated that if we don't want to do prescription pain meds, it would be ok to increase to 5 chews a day, just watch his bowel movements and stomach. If he does ok, it's safe to keep him on 5 a day so we tried it. He has now been on 5 chews a day for over 6 months, hasn't had any negative issues and is actually running, jogging, playing, and doing stairs! He acts very happy, is playful, and doesn't show signs of pain. He's more playful now than ever and always has a smile on his face.I simply can't say enough good things about how Glyco-Flex III has saved our lab and gave him his mobility and life back. For a dog who was born with severe genetic arthritis and vets recommended he be euthanized, has proven them all wrong. Having TPLO surgery early in his life clearly was the right choice his former owners made. And when we adopted him at 4 yrs old, placing him on Glyco-Flex III has given him a lifetime of fun, mobility, and pleasure.I am not an employee, nor associated with VetriScience in any way, shape or form. This product helped my 12 yr old dog tremendously. Before she started this treatment, she had stopped running more than a few steps, jumping in & out of the car, & playing with her toys. Within 3 weeks of starting the chewables, she was running & playing again. We haven't allowed her to jump in & out of the car simply because we don't want to aggravate her hips. We're so thankful that this product has brought better mobility & more fun to our girl.

I just started my 8 month old labrador puppy on Glycoflex, Score is my 5th labrador to be raised on Glycoflex and they have all lived long and active lives. Love all of Vetriscience products. I believe that it’s very important to give our pets good supplements their entire lives not just when they are old and it’s too late to save their joints and core.

UPDATE:My dog still hates the taste and refuses these chews unless I blend them with chicken. With that said, she has shown great improvement and has climbed stairs and jumped on our couch on her own. Huge gains in a short amount of time. I wish she would just take them as is, but they do work for mobility.I had high hopes based on reviews that my dog would warm up to these. She doesn't like the chews from the vet and I was out $75 from that test. My hound refuses to eat these chews as well. I'm now having to blend it in with her meals. She also hesitates to eat her food when the chews are dusted on top.

We have an eleven year old Golden Retriever who’s used to being very active. I could tell he was getting stiff and not jumping as high as he used to..but he still wanted to play hard. After the initial dosage and after starting his new, as directed, dosage of 2 @ day. I broke them in half with my hands, they’re very soft and easy to chew. He’s a new dog!! He’s more active. Loves to fetch balls, sticks, frisbee’s etc… This improve his mobility and joints. He LOVES the taste. I love price and the quality, packed with all kinds of nutrients. You and your dog will love this stuff!!

My Labrador is very active but getting older. She started limping in her back leg and was out on mandatory bed rest by her vet.was told if she doesn’t improve she would need surgery. She was on strict bed rest for a few weeks and I add this supplement to her diet. She hasn’t had a problems since then. She’s been on it for a year now and don't plan on taking her off of it anytime soon.

The media could not be loaded. I have been feeding this to my ACD for a year, along with the Same Brand Allergy supplements.My K9 gets WORKED on a daily basis from 30min to 3hours. From walking and searching to running and jumping challenges to swimming and diving.So I keep him physically fit, ideal weight, mentally fit and feed him a balanced diet with high protein.I showed both my supplements to our veterinarian, and he approved of the ingredients.K9 Zydeco loves these soft chews! He’d eat the entire package if I let him!I have EXACTLY ZERO evidence that this supplement is a benefit to his health.However, at 3 years old I can say his physicals and check-ups have been without any health issues. I also do not notice any limping, pain or limitations during or after rigorous exercise.Does it work? I dunno. Do the supplements I take daily work? I dunno. But my Check-ups have been fine too.
Good addition to our routine
They seem effective based on the ingredient mix. I feel that giving these to my ten year old Labrador daily is contributing to keeping his joints healthy as he's entering his senior years, in addition to healthy food and age appropriate physical activity.
Game changer
For a few years I had my senior on Synovi G4 joint suppliments just as maintenance, I didn't realise she was relying on them. Not until I cut costs and started her on Cosequin instead. I noticed her slow down drastically and she seemed to age years in a couple of weeks. We went from an hour of daily walking and 3 hikes/week while playing hard with her Boxer brother, to refusing to go for walks/ get in the car for hikes and getting snippy with her brother when he wanted to play.I panicked at the change and stumbled accross GlycoFlex+. I decided to order it right away. I received it the next day and started her on it immediately. She's been on it for 3 weeks today, and the change is night and day! I'd say I saw a difference after only a week, but after 2 weeks she's a different dog. She's initiating playtime with her brother, running in the fields again and is pushing to be first to get her collar on for our walks! When before she would run and hide at walk time.This is a huge game changer for us, and for the price point it's WELL worth it to give it a shot.
