5.0 out of 5 stars it worked
I just needed a a small tin of flux for a small job and this was great .
4.0 out of 5 stars Works well, in a handy little tin
This works really well. I've started soldering some practice kits with my kids, and some bits needed a bit of flux. This is a really handy little tin that takes up no space at all (you only get 10g, but I really don't need a lot). I have no issue with solder flow when using this. I did notice quite a bit of residue left on the board after soldering, but all that wiped up nicely with a bit of alcohol and a soft cloth. If you're a hobbyist who only needs a little flux sometimes, like me, I can recommend this tin.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good small tin of flux
Useful small tin amount of flux. At a good price. I do not do much soldering.
3.0 out of 5 stars It's OK
It's fine; does the job, but it's a very small tin. But then it's really cheap, so ideal for a travelling kit bag.
5.0 out of 5 stars small tin, ideal to keep in the tool box
I do quite a lot of field repairs so take a portable soldering station with me - until now I had been transferring flux to a small plastic pot which is getting shabby (using the same pot for over 20 years), so this small sized tin is an ideal replacement. Although gram for gram you could say its expensive compared to say a 100g pot, but its just right for a tool case to use for repairs out and about. As a flux, it is exactly as you expect - use it for tinning wires etc.I am happy with is so 5 stars from me.
4.0 out of 5 stars Yiapinn - 10g Rosin Solder Flux
***** Conclusion *****There isn’t really too much that can be said about flux, but it’s pretty vital when soldering wires or connections and repairing electronics to help with the flow of solder and to remove oxides from the surface of the metal being soldered to create a strong and reliable joint. You get a small 10g tin of Rosin solder flux, which the manufacturer states is lead and other nasties free and is also PH neutral, meaning it won’t corrode wires etc, if not cleaned off properly.Although I have no complaints about the product itself, I must say I think the £3.69 asking price is a little steep for just 10g, when you can get 50g of identically packaged (but from different Chinese “brands”) flux for around £5.50. I even noticed one offer of 2 x 50g for only £3.79, so it’s worth shopping around for the best deal at the time of purchase.
5.0 out of 5 stars Flux works well
This flux is very good at getting the tip of your soldering iron clean and ready for action. It's much like any other I have used and is an essential part of your soldering set-up in my opinion. What I like about this tin is it's convenient size for when you need that little bit of extra space if you are working on the move. The only downsize is that the lid is quite hard to get off as it is so slim!
1.0 out of 5 stars That it meets requirements.
It did not.
