I'm not sure 'cheap and cheerful' does this little hub enough justice but, at less than £ six British pounds it's inexpensive and it has left me pleasantly surprised and feeling happy... which is nice! ;-)It's a fairly compact little hub that feels and looks well made, with a somewhat-snazzy blue metallic finish. It provides a bevy of USB Type-C (2 of), USB 3.0 (1 of) and 2.0 ports (4 of) and allows 5V through-power on the USB-C ports to slowly charge connected devices. It's a shame there's only a single USB 3.0 port and that all the USB ports - including the USB 2.0 versions - are blue, but the ports are labelled, so its not difficult to differentiate the various speeds on offer.The silicone/rubber sheathed cable feels durable and the dual connector that offers USB Type C and generic USB connectivity is a useful feature that makes the hub compatible with a wide variety of devices. It's plug and play and works with my MacBook, tablet and various games consoles.It stays cool, is extremely portable, looks good and works well. I'm impressed with it.

The deal maker for me with this 7 in 1 hub was the number of USB A ports which stands at 5! I have seen hubs that have up to 7 USB A inputs but none of the ones I have come across have had any USB C inputs, this one has 2. That makes it great for my purposes and will give me all the extra USB A ports that I envisage needing as well as the versatility of those C inputs.My use for this hub will be to connect up a couple of external hard drives , a flash drive, a printer and a USB light and possibly my phone for transfer of photos and videos. The listing does say ; "Tips:Does not support powering a smartphones, tablets, and laptops". I am not sure what that means exactly because the unit charged my iphone with no issues.I do like the fact that this device has an aluminium case. That really is my preferred material for peripherals as it is so durable. It also has a robust looking cable but I would have liked it to be braid rather than the bog standard PVC that this seems to have.In use the hub performed well with decent speeds of data transfer. It is difficult to compare to other hubs due to the large number of variables but it didn't disappoint.Value wise I think that £6.99 is a great deal for this well equipped and well built bit of kit that gives so many options and is going to prove to be very useful.

Doesn’t allow pass through charging nor use of a usb-c to hdmi cable. Renders it completely useless for me. DO NOT BUY - you’d be better off with a usb-c to USB3 strip
