5.0 out of 5 stars An effective and pleasant way way to cut back your alcohol intake
I've been drinking Sentia Red for several months now. It took some getting used to as I wasn't sure about the taste at first. Previously, I used to drink wine every day. Not a lot, typically just one glass to relax at the end of a long work day. It was a daily pleasure. When I went for a health check-up, my GP said that I was in good health but I should try to give my liver a rest by having three non-alcohol days a week. So I started drinking Sentia. It definitely needs a mixer. I experimented with lots of different ones. I think the mixers that are orangy and spicey taste best with it. It also tastes good mixed with some ready made canned mocktails although some are a little sweet for my tastes. I add ice and sometime pomegranate seeds. I now really enjoy my Sentia cocktails on my non-alcohol days. It is very calming as a drink. I always use Sentia Red as Sentia Black peps you up rather than relaxes you. I've tried other drinks that are designed to have a calming effect but none of them work for me as well as Sentia. I am really happy that I discovered Sentia.
1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing Taste
It is exceptionally rare for me to leave reviews but felt compelled to share my dissatisfaction due to the cost of this item. Firstly, after reading other reviews before my purchase and varying descriptions on different websites I decided the Sentia was quite the perfect fit for my life style.I am bitterly disappointed! The taste is simply far too perfumed. Even with a plethora of attempts to dominate with added fruit, beverages etc the perfume taste still strongly penetrates through, even strong enough to detect it via breathing out through the nose. My partner felt exactly the same.I wish there could have been an individual sample bottle as this is a total waste and expense.
3.0 out of 5 stars Waiting for the train that never comes
I have tried both gaba black & red, like the taste of the gaba black, red not so much, firstly there is no tipsy feeling, how the company can claim this I don't know so if you are trying sentia for this reason, forget it, there is absolutely no feeling what so ever with either red or black gaba, conclusion.. It's a very expensive bottle of OK tasting fluid, such a shame, buy a bottle & try it & see for yourself, I could probably mimic the taste of gaba black with dandy lion & burdock with lime & save £35, the postage also bumps the price up
4.0 out of 5 stars Effective nightcap
I’m enjoying this as a soothing and cooling nightcap mixed with those little cans of posh flavoured tonic. I do think it helps me relax and improves the quality of my sleep. I’m getting through the bottle quite fast though, and it’s more expensive than gin!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Adult Drink
I really enjoy this drink mixed with tonic and I like the unusual non sugary taste. I feel no difference at all from the GABA but I do enjoy waking up without a headache.I just wish it was even just £5-10 cheaper as I would buy it more regularly.
2.0 out of 5 stars Так и не поняла для чего это
I bought this drink as a substitute for alcohol, as I have a strong hangover from any amount of alcohol. But I still don't know what this liquid is for. I've tried different dosages, but no results. I'd rather have non-alcoholic beer, at least it tastes good.
5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious and mildly relaxing
Since going alcohol free last year I've tried many different drinks to sip at home in the evenings. This one is right up there as one of my favourites, and a regular purchase. I really do feel slightly relaxed after drinking some. It's a slightly floral fruity flavour. I usually mix it with a nice tonic and a slice of orange, or just over ice. You're never going to get the same buzz as you get from alcohol drinking this, but now I'm a few months alcohol free I'm feeling the benefits of this even more. If I have a particularly stressful day this takes the edge off for me.
5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious and potent
It's taken me a while to really appreciate this drink. On my 3rd bottle over several months and at first I was probably comparing it to alcohol and looking for the red wine effect. This is so much more refined and being alcohol free there are none of the many horrible negative effects.Very tasty with fever free tonic water. Gives a lovely mellow buzz and is satisfying with one or max 2 drinks. Expensive but as it's not too more'ish lasts for about 10 or 12 drinks. If I was to try and describe via comparison it's like switching from Cadbury's Chocolate to raw cacao organic truffles.Delicious and definitely a powerful mood altering drink. I am a fan. ❤️
I’ve tried them both
Figured I’d post this for both Red and Black so readers can decide for themselves.First off, if you’re looking for an alternative to alcohol’s mood elevation and relaxation effects, you will not recreate that high with anything other than alcohol (or harder drugs). If you want something that spices up a drink, gives your tastebuds a jolt and most importantly; no hangover, then this might be for you. I’ll list the traits in groups:Mood effects: Red is clearly the winner here providing a very mild sedative effect. It’s not a Valium or anything like that, but just a mild relaxation feeling. Black doesn’t seem to do anything (for me) as I was hoping it was going to provide an energy boost and focus effect that the website says.Taste: Black wins by a wide margin. It’s actually very tasty and combines with pretty much any mixer or can be drank on the rocks. Red tastes heavily medicinal (some have even said soap like). It definitely needs a mixer if you want to enjoy it.Overall, this is a great idea. You get to hold a drink that looks and feels like a cocktail without any negative effects. Your tastebuds get a little kick with each sip that tells your brain that this isn’t just soda, water or coffee. If you’re someone who comes home and has a couple drinks after work and doesn’t like what it does to your waistline or your brain then these can definitely take the place.
Really not sure what to say
Not the worst stuff I have ever tasted. Like the title says not sure what to say. Would I buy it again. Absolutely not. Would I recommend, No. I’m not sure how you describe it but I’d look for other options. I can speak of its calming affects but from both a taste and looking for an alternative to alcohol I’d keep searching. Too pricey for the experience I had with it.
Tastes horrible don’t buy it, you can’t return it
It tastes like soap! It is absolutely horrible. It doesn’t give a calming effect like advertised either. You can’t return this product and you can’t get a refund
Very good
It does have a slight floral taste ( I usually don’t like anything floral ) but enjoy this drink , I pour over ice and top with mineral water, it does have a nice subtle calming affect
Pleasand mild buzz weird taste nice with OJ
Well, this not a sipping drink. When I sipped it neat there was a distinct perfume impact. Shooting. down a 25ml was more like some sort of alcohol drink but not quite.I have become addicted to the taste mixed with OJ. Look forward to my single drink every night and have lost 5 lb on the 1st bottle that is almost finished. Love my Belgian ale but the cost and the negative impact on weght and clarity needed to be reduced. Now instead of a pint or more of ale I just pour about 8 to 12 oz oj and add 25ml of red and sip that every night. It definitely has a sleep extending feature for me. A little too easy to want to just lounge around. Alcohol, on the other hand, causes me to wake up too much. I like this but really do better if I finish it off before 9pm. Overall, it is saving me money and allowing my weight to drop and my clarity of thought to improve. Just received 2nd bottle tonight.
