I bought this to use with a regular camera and to take still photos of hard to reach places. I am a building surveyor so regularly need to inspect roofs, ceiling voids and loft spaces which aren't always accessible by ladder. This works great with my Panasonic lumix camera which I can view through an app on my phone. It is only 300mm long and comes with a storage bag meaning that it will fit easily enough in my rucksack.The screw thread I believe is standard to all cameras so you don't need any additional attachments. Your camera will need WiFi and an app to operate 3m + in the air.

I bought this to replace a cheap 2.9m Aliexpress CF Pole that I use with my Insta 360 X3.The £20 Aliexpress pole does the job but has THREE issues and this Telesin pole addresses TWO of them - it doesn't quite fix the last issue so hence the title of my review.The First issue addressed is the sag - the Telesin pole is FAR more rigid and the CF tube used is much better quality than the Aliexpress version resulting in virtually zero sag at full extension.The Second issue addressed by the Telesin pole concerns the locking of the ferrules that allow the pole to extend telescopically. The Cheap pole has three ferrules and when collapsed each metal ferrule locates into the one adjacent using a fine threading system. The problem with that is that when you tighten your camera to the mounting thread at the end of the pole the threads in the ferrules effectively lock together so tightly that it's physically impossible to get them apart with bare fingers, they are fairly small so you can't get enough grip to undo them meaning your pole cannot be extended unless you can get hold of a couple of pairs of grips to undo the locked thread. The Telesin pole on the other hand has more ferrules (which means it's shorter to carry around when it's in it's collapsed position) and those ferrules locate together using a friction fit applied by using O Rings so they don't lock but work well enough to keep the pole retracted or extended and can easily be undone with your fingers - this is a winner for me.Sadly the third issue - creaking and knocking heard on recordings when using the pole still occurs with the Telesin pole but in fairness it's somewhat reduced in volume compared to the cheaper pole.So bottom line - Is the Telesin pole worth £50 compared to the cheaper pole at £20?It's a question of your budget - if you're tight for cash go with the cheaper pole and take a little care when using it - it's been OK for me up until this pointNow, is it worth £50 when compared to the new Insta branded "Enhanced" 3m pole which costs way over £100?I would say yes.The Insta pole is a lovely thing and has infinitely variable adjustment with it's friction locking mechanism but at half the cost the Telesin is a quality pole with good features and looks durable so I'm happy to recommend it.

Sometimes a little awkward to lock and unlock it in place with the occasional skin pinch but otherwise very sturdy, light and doesn’t bend or wobble too much. Some lengths can have unused loose pieces sliding and making bump noises.

A really long stick like this is a challenge. It needs to be light, but also stiff. The extending mechanism needs to lock securely, but be easy to undo. They did a good job with it. At full extension, it does get a little flexible, but not too much. You can not set it to any random length, it will only securely lock at discreet settings.You will fuss with the system to collapse it the first couple times you use it, but after a few times it will become second nature. It has given me no trouble at all.
Stable with 733g on board!
Just got this 3m pole.Straight away put my gopro 12 black+ max lens mod 2.0+ media mod+ zhiyun crane m2 on it with the 1/4-20 mount.Thats 733 grams of gear!Extended to 3m it had only a tiny bit of droop, its not whippy and gives good footage. It didn't seem strained or near failure.I can get POV crane shots up to 18 feet if I stand on a chair!I wouldn't put any more weight on, but it seems like its fine with 733g if I handle it carefully.

Direi perfetto, si allunga fino a 3 metri, la video camera si avvita benissimo, io lo uso per fare immersioni in mare e funziona benissimo.
Fake einen Drohnenflug!
Super praktisch! Wenn keine Drohne erlaubt ist einfach die 360 Kamera da drauf und es sieht aus wie ein Drohnen Flug! Natürlich muss man ruhig/gleichmäßig damit laufen!Er ist stabiler als gedacht und auch voll ausgefahren immer noch super.
Ligero y súper largo
Buscábamos un palo selfie para nuestra go pro, queríamos que fuera lo suficientemente largo como para grabar vídeos “simulando un dron” (porque actualmente hay muchas limitaciones) y ligero. Este cumple perfectamente su propósito.Plegado es muy cómodo de llevar, lo cuelgas de la muñeca con la cinta ajustable y va súper sujeto. No pesa en cuanto apenas.Lo volveríamos a comprar.
