I didn't check the ingredients when we bought these, and I still haven't looked. But I would be willing to bet these m that these contain more coconut than the traditional almond that is in Bakewells.That said, these do taste very nice even if they have that coconut texture and slight flavour. Moist, sweet with a slight stickiness and a visible jam layer. Jam flavour is less dominant than we expected from other reviews. In appearance they look like they could be Bakewell slices with the cake top and thin pastry bottom, albeit lacking in any visible almond flakes!Nice quality, decent portion size and enjoyed by our family.

These Bakewell Slices are absolutely tasty and delicious. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a sweet tooth (Far far better than Mr. Kipling bakewell slices).

I really did not like these. They were so sweet I couldn't even eat one. I should have have known because the first ingredient was listed as sugar. There should have been a warning that they were unsuitable for diabetics!

Deeply disappointed in this particular pack of bakewell slices. Dont know what has pappened but they were definitely not up to usual high standard. Sickly sweet and thinner than normal, very squashy and definitely inedible. Both my son and myself who loved them in the past have crossed them off our favourites list. Ate only a mouthful of one each and threw the rest in bin. Hugely dismayed by this batch of cake slices.
