It’s very easy to put together; a simple matter of putting the battery in the wireless unit which is fairly chunky with a big button that spans most of the front, attaching this outside the front door using the 2 circular pieces of double sided backing tape provided, and plugging in the chunky receivers wherever you want them. I managed it without referring to the instructions.Then for me came the fun bit of choosing the tone for each receiver. There are a heck of a lot of tones to choose from including the usual dingdong, a barking dog, a cuckoo, some Christmas tunes, a jazzed up version of happy birthday, a few old favourites e.g. old Lang Syne, and a load I’ve never heard of. There are 2 buttons on the side of each receiver, the top one cycles through the volume options and the next one through the tones, some of which really are tinny. By default each receiver is set to the traditional ding dong. To set the tone for each receiver, select the tone you want, then hold down the volume button plus the button to select the tone. The receiver gives a blip and the tone is saved. As my friend sat there cringing at the tinny tones the receivers produced, we finally decided on a simple ding dong for the sitting room, and a dog barking for the hallway, both set at the top volume which is seriously loud! The receivers also flash when the doorbell is rung.Now every time someone rings the doorbell, they here a dog barking plus the sound of an ordinary doorbell, which gives the impression there’s a dog in the house which barks when the doorbell is rung. No-longer can my friend complain of having a quiet doorbell.In all, a simple product that is easy to use and does the job.

    I've bought a few of this type of doorbell online and if I'm honest they have never really been much good. The batteries seem to run out fast, they aren't very loud and just stop working. I was so fed up though of missing people at the front door that I decided to try yet again. After all, this one was so cheap it wouldn't be the end of the world if it went the same way as the more expensive other ones I've tried. Yes. I know. I'm a muppet. Stop wasting money.Well, I've had this doorbell now for quite some time. I ordered it at the end of January so as I write this review I have had it for a good 7 months.Installation. Put a batter in the door bell. Stick it to the door frame or wherever you want it. Plus the two chimes into a socket of your choice. Press the chime to select your tune. Done.Battery life. I have no idea how long the battery in the outside button lasts but I can tell you that it is over 7 months. Mine has not ran out yet.Volume. The volume is perfect. You are provided with two chimes which plug into a wall socket so you can place them in a convenient location.Chimes. There is a selection of chimes available and they are not all those tacky horrid tunes that so often come with these.Quality. I really can not fault the quality. All 3 units are very well made. Look good and perform the task well.Range. I would say that the range is very good. We have issues with bluetooth/wifi working through out front door but have no issues with this. irt has worked perfect since the day I received it.Overall. 10/10. I very highly recommend this doorbell.

    I have purchased from TeckNet in the past and their items are of good quality and this bell is no exception. It is smart looking if a little larger than a conventional bell push. So there is the transmitter which comes with battery supplied and this can either be stuck to your door with the strong and supplied 3M sticky pad or screwed to the door. I did the former so as not to leave any drill holes in my UPVC door which could be unsightly if bell replaced in the future. It is supplied with two receivers which have three pin UK style plugs that plug directly into a mains socket. There are about 50 tunes to choose from and a low, medium and high volume setting for each one. Most of the tunes are long and annoying and I suggest if you don't want to upset the neighbours you stick to one of the few conventional ones! I have one situated in the hall and another in the garden workshop some 25m away from the front door and it still picks up the signal. It does not seem to interfere with any of my other wireless smart gadgets.There are a couple of things to note:-1. The receiver is quite wide. In a conventional UK double socket it is tight to get in a second adjacent plug. I tried with a standard sized one and it just squeezed in next to it but a larger one such as you get on built in PSUs etc wouldn't.2. It could be improved by more conventional tonal rings and less "melodies"3. It is smart looking but with all of today's gizmo's like security lights, spy holes etc it may not be immediately obvious to some, with just the TeckNet logo on the front, that it is a door bell! (Yes there are some quite stupid people out there!) Perhaps a printed "Bell" or "Press" along the side would be a nice addition and I have added this myself.All in all though a very nice piece of kit and great value for money at £13.99.
