Love that this book is part text book on Chanel’s life and business intermixed with stunning imagery! It obviously makes a great coffee table book but is also a great book to read and learn from!

I love Coco Chanel anyway and am big into sewing and this book certainly didn't disappoint. Wonderful photography, beautiful clothes and fantastic read.

Arrived in wrapped in plastic, so new and untouched. It's far, far superior to the French book that was published for the exhibition held there. These photos are very clear and the details can be seen. It covers items from Chanel's whole career and a little beyond. Photo on one side, text on the other. I quote directly from text on page 256"Vogue referred to the fact that it had been inspired by Indian dress, titling the look a 'Lamé Indian tunic' and likening it to something that might have been worn by a 'young Rajput prince'. This language reflects the attitude of western fashion in this period (and in decades to come), when global cultures were liberally referenced as sources of inspiration without relevant context or acknowledgement of original creators".Personally, I don't need that sort of text. Hence 4 stars not 5.
