I have used Knitting for Olive’s patterns and yarn for several years now and have never been disappointed. Their colour palette alone is the best as well as their cruelty free ethos.This book is just another example of the understated, beautifully classic feel that KFO exudes in spades. Highly recommend the book and everything else they do and sell - my go to brand for my knitting addiction. :)

Purchased this for my mum so as she can knit me more than just a scarf!!!It’s beautiful, a really lovely book and the patterns are great and easy to follow (so my mum tells me)I’m still waiting for my first jumper from the book!Knitting skills definitely needed, not for beginners!

To save yourself many hours of frustration - check google for the typos on your pattern - lots of them ! Very sloppy publishing and annoying.IGNORE the advice on page 56 'that you do not to understand the pattern ... ' I read the pattern and see it didn't make sense but followed their advice. It didn't make sense because there are written errors in the book- which have wasted hours of my time and very frustrating. The publishers need to put these correction right and re-print the book.

I’m really glad I purchased this book of patterns. While I’m familiar with the brand, I’ve yet to purchase their yarns, but I know I will be soon. I really love the story behind this brand; high quality yarns with a respect for animals and our environment.The patterns are classic and timeless and I know that when I knit one of them, it will be a true wardrobe staple in my closet.If you have any reservations of buying this book of patterns, rest assured that you will find extreme value in the amount and quality of patterns you are getting at this price point.

Non so se è un errore dovuto alla traduzione in inglese ma...per esempio il pattern " waffle sweater" è sbagliato già in principio. C'è un grosso problema con i short rows, problema che viene discusso anche su ravelry tra l'altro. Non lo consiglio affatto per i principianti. Una knitter sperimentata alla fine riesce sistemare in un modo o in un altro l'errore. Ma una principiante si troverà con mille difficoltà e mille difetti. Molto delusa!

この本（Ilex pressから出版されているもの）を日本のアマゾンで発見し、迷った末にキンドル版を購入。半日眺めた後のレビューなので文章パターンの明瞭さなどは考慮していませんが、私のように迷った方が買おうかどうか決断をするのに助けになればと思って書いています。１． 長さ、重さの表記はcm、g、棒針のサイズはmmで、他表記なし。カナダで出版された本（紙）をユーチューブでレビューしている人が、数量がインチ（大きさ）ヤード（糸の長さ）とオンス（糸の重さ）、針のサイズがUS表記で、cm、g、mmの併記がないと文句を言っていたが（原書がデンマークで出版されたことを考えると、これはびっくりで、頭に来るのも理解できる）、日本のアマゾンで買えるIlex press版にこの問題はなし。２． 20パターン全部がレディース（サンプルとして見られる部分にニットを着ている赤ちゃんの写真が出ているので、子ども用パターンも入っている？と思う人がいるかも）。うち小物が3パターンで、ニットハット、ビーニー帽・スカーフのセット、タートルネック型のネックウォーマー。「編みこみ」のものはなし。全部の詳細は見ていないが、トップダウンの輪編みでできるものはトップダウンの輪編みになっていると思われる。３． ラベリーで人気がある北欧のPetiteKnitやMy Favourite Thingsなどのデザインが好きな人はこの本に出ているデザインも好きでしょう。（この本を発見するまでKnitting for Oliveがパターンを出しているのを私は知らなかった。）４． サイズ展開は3つのものからから10あるものまでとさまざま。作品そのものの大きさと想定している体のサイズの記載があるが、おすすめの緩み加減（ease）についての情報はなし（それが必要なら比較計算すればよいということなのかな）。５． 使用されている糸はすべてKnitting for Oliveのもの（当然か）。代替糸情報なし。糸の素材と長さ、重さについての記載はあるので、別の糸を使う場合はそれを目安に選ぶことになるでしょう（指定糸を使うことがほとんどない私にはいつもと同じ）。６． knitting for Oliveのサイトで個別販売されているパターンもいくつか含まれている。
