Nothing to do with text. But I ordered two different paperback books. And the The Frog that ate my sandwich was cheaply made. The outer cover was a lot thinner than other children's paperback book and compared to the other book I bought.So much thinner that I even thought someone's making copies of this book and selling them on. It won't last 5 mins in a class at school. Disappointing for the price.

I found the story was too difficult to follow for a 4 Yr old (which is within the age range targeted) and it was very American using terms he wouldn't understand. Also, I felt the book was very flimsy for the price.

Not well written at all, the story just rambles and should be more concise if this is meant for early reading. Also too long and my child lost interest halfway through, especially when the frog hadn't even eaten the sandwich.

Spelling mistakes (peak instead of peek; pants leg on one page but pant leg on the other; ribit for ribbit) and more.

Child loved the book. Aged 4
Buy it I’m sure your kid will love it
My two year old girl loves this book as a read aloud and has been obsessed with frogs because of Walter! We read it to her over and over even if it’s longer than her usual books she asks so many questions which we love answering. The illustrations also are very dynamic and give expressions to the characters. I can’t recommend a better book for your kid to learn and have fun doing it.
Good for 4 to 6 year olds
A fun book for a young boy. Lots of laughs.
Great for elementary school
As an SLP in the public schools, I try to find well-illustrated kids books for my reading groups and this was a great choice! The kids loved it and wanted extra time to look at all of the pictures. They have already requested this book again, but I have a surprise... the next book from this great author.
